2-seat sofa: moving volume and packing

2-seat sofa: 0.4 m³, 0.133 LDM. Remove the legs, wrap the arms and load it standing on one end.

A two-seat sofa measures roughly 0.4 m³ and 0.133 load metres once its legs are off. Stand it on one end rather than laying it flat, which keeps the frame and upholstery from bearing the load. Wrap the arms first, since they take the pressure against the van wall.

How to pack

  1. Unscrew the legs and tape them in a bag to the frame.
  2. Wrap the arms and back in blankets, then cover the whole sofa with stretch film.
  3. Load it on one end and strap it so it cannot tip.

For storage

Store upright on a pallet or boards, never directly on a cold or damp floor.
