Dishwasher: moving volume and packing

Dishwasher: 0.5 m³, 0.167 LDM. Drain the hoses, fix the spray arms and keep it upright; 30–60 kg.

A dishwasher is rated at about 0.5 m³ and 0.167 load metres, similar to a washing machine. Drain the hoses and secure the spray arms, which otherwise swing loose and crack during the drive. Typical weight is 30–60 kg and the unit should stay upright, as residual water can reach the electronics.

How to pack

  1. Turn off the water, disconnect the inlet and drain the hoses completely.
  2. Tie down the spray arms and tape the door and basket rails shut.
  3. Wrap it in a blanket and load it upright with the door against the wall.

For storage

Store upright and dry with the door ajar; do not lay it on its side.
