Desk: moving volume and packing

Desk: 1.2 m³, 0.4 LDM. Empty the drawers, label the cables and dismantle the frame where possible.

A desk occupies about 1.2 m³ and 0.4 load metres, and its cables are usually the most fragile part. Clear the drawers and dismantle the frame if the model allows, keeping screws with their matching parts. Wrap the desktop edges and load it flat, with the cable box in a separate bag.

How to pack

  1. Empty the drawers and unplug all cables, labelling each one.
  2. Dismantle the frame and bag the screws per section.
  3. Wrap the desktop edges and load it flat with the cable bag on top.

For storage

Store the desktop flat and dry; hang cables in a bag rather than coiling them tightly.
