Small box: moving volume and packing

Small box: 0.05 m³, 0.01 LDM. Use it for books and tools, keep it under about 15 kg and stack it at the bottom.

A small book box is counted at 0.05 m³ and 0.01 load metres, and it is the densest item on this list. Fill it with books, CDs or tools, but keep it under about 15 kg so the base does not tear. Small heavy boxes belong at the bottom of the stack, never on top of a mattress.

How to pack

  1. Line the bottom with a layer of paper or cloth for heavy contents.
  2. Fill gaps so nothing shifts, then tape the base and the lid seam.
  3. Label the box with the room and a heavy symbol and stack it at the bottom.

For storage

Store on a dry floor or low shelf; do not stack more than three heavy boxes.
