Bed: moving volume and packing

Bed: 2.0 m³, 0.667 LDM. Dismantle it, bag the screws by section and wrap the headboard first.

A double bed takes about 2.0 m³ and 0.667 load metres, the largest single furniture volume in the selection. Dismantle it completely and bag the screws and slats by frame section, otherwise reassembly becomes guesswork. The headboard and side rails are the parts most likely to be scratched, so wrap them first.

How to pack

  1. Dismantle the frame and keep screws, dowels and tools in one labelled bag.
  2. Bundle the slats with tape and wrap the headboard in a blanket.
  3. Stand the rails and headboard against the van wall and lay the slats flat.

For storage

Store the dismantled parts flat and dry, with the hardware bag taped to the headboard.
